Art Classes

The Curious Rabbit is home to an art school. We offer a variety of classes suitable for all ages and abilities across a range of mediums.

If you find yourself saying “I’ve always wanted to join an art class”, now is the time to take the plunge. Your teachers at The Curious Rabbit are professional, friendly, and approachable, and provide a structured program in a relaxed learning environment. Being curious and experimenting using your own style is encouraged.

We hold classes and workshops in a range of mediums including painting, drawing, photography, colour and composition techniques as well as craft workshops.

Monday Nights with Leigh Hewitt

Join master portrait artist Leigh Hewitt and learn the techniques of colour and composition. 6-8pm school terms. Weekly or term-based fees.

Live Life Drawing

Every fourth Thursday of the month, we hold live-life drawing classes. Using professional models and guided by an experienced teacher we can help you see the human body in a new way.

Drag Queen Drawing

Test your drawing or painting skills by capturing the glamour and shape of our resident drag queen Rose Quartz.

Private Lessons

We also offer one on one tutorials with specialised art coaches working in the medium of your choice. If you would like to use art as a way to connect with your creativity in an open environment we can provide individual and group classes through NDIS funding.

Group Lessons

If you want something fun to do with your family and friends we can put together an art class for you. Choose a still life or an image to recreate and we can walk you through the steps to your own unique masterpiece. Minimum of 5 people. Food and beverage packages can also be arranged.
