Bird Peace

“Can you allow mystery and logic to sit comfortably side by side in your hand?’ Stuart Hill, Professor Emeritus, Founding Chair of social ecology in Australia.

This sage question from Stuart runs through the core of the exhibition.

Peace is a universal human theme and desire.

Although it sounds contradictory, Peace can be found and experienced anywhere and at any time if we have the desire and discipline.

The creation starts with feelings and expression of Joy, Awe, Wonderment and Gratitude...... committing to consciously override the rising judgements that impede that flow and being open to discover what resonates is a cultivated practice.

Abandoning conformity and societal expectations are powerful barriers to stay emotionally rooted to the one spot, following years of social engineering; letting the Divine Intelligence and Energy flow through you is a conscious, mindful practice.

Through their love of Nature, and especially birds, G.G. Jolliffe and pennie scott have collaborated to create a series of works demonstrating Peace in their own realms.

The commitment to every day practice and discipline is so foreign to what we are expected to do in the Western world. It’s rejecting what we are told is “the right way” and, instead, consciously and wondrously creating ‘our way’.

Being lost in the doing is a joyous process, not beholden to the outcomes.

Birds exhibit joy, curiousity, incredible songs and gay abandonment every day.

Can, or will, humans commit to a path of inner peace?

We hope this exhibition inspires you to curiously explore the wonders of the magnificent creations which are birds.
