Tracey Jones.

Tracey Jones is currently enrolled in her final year of a Bachelor of Fine Art degree at RMIT, Melbourne. Jones also holds a Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts from RMIT. Her recent exhibitions include Archives of Feeling Project, RMIT Design Hub, RMIT Gallery, 2022 and The Dutch Project, Westend Art Space, Melbourne 2022. She is a finalist in the Fisher Ghost Art Prize 2022 and in 2021 Jones was a finalist in The National Art Prize, The Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize and The Wyndham Art Prize as well as being awarded The Art Encouragement Award at the Linden Postcard Show.

Her practice encompasses painting and drawing to engage with past methods and techniques favoured by the European realist painters. She employs these approaches to create realistic images using familiar objects arranged in compositions that form affective or emotional connections that elicit memories and experiences from the viewer.
